MCBS Zion Provincial synaxis held in 2002 decided to start a CBSE School at Mechira (Mettippadam), In the name of Rev.Fr.Mathew Alakalam, the cofounder of MCBS. The year 2002 was the 25th death anniversary of Fr. Mathew Alakalam.

Location

MAPS is situated amidst the lush greenery of the valley of the picturesque Kodassery Hills. The campus sprawls over an area of ten acres of land filled with numerous trees and a creek happily flowing through. The school maintains a serene and pollution free environment conducive for education.

It is about 6 KM away from Chalakudy on the way to Vellikulangara and Kuttichira and is close to the famous Athirapilly and Vazhachal waterfalls. This ideal campus is accessible by all modes of transport from any part of the state.

MAPS motto is taken from the book of Psalms. It talks about the converging point of human light and divine light. The divine light is the true light. We can claim to be in the light only when we are in the divine light. A Mapsian is always expected to be walking in the Divine Light. When being illumined with the Divine Light, one can never walk in darkness. In God’s light, we shall see light.

MAPS takes up the challenge to provide quality education to create integrated individuals of character and caliber. Our vision of education is to lead pupils to the fullness of truth and wisdom.
Each pupil is taught to promote the basic values and attitudes of life leading to a harmonious and integrated development of the person to make him capable of absorbing the human aptitudes to enable him/her to lead a successful life.
